Samantha has been part of the Andiamo monthly challenges since March. Way to go!

How did your running journey begin?

I started running about 3 years ago after becoming a member of Orangetheory Fitness. I dropped 80lbs in a year and decided to try running 5Ks. I enjoyed it so much that I made a goal for myself to run a 5K every month last year. I missed it by one 5K after tearing something in my knee.

How has the Andiamo challenges motivated you during these times? When these challenges started due to COVID-19, I thought it would help boost my confidence and get me back to running. I ended up not being able to sustain, but decided not to give up and walk the challenges instead. The willingness I had to achieve the end goal is what gave me the drive to continue even though I had to walk them.

I have enjoyed the boost I receive from my fellow runners, and even the boost of support I have received when things aren’t going my way.

AndiamoRP has continued to drive me to do my best with each challenge they hold. I will continue to do them until I can’t. Thank you to AndiamoRP and all the runners, joggers, and walkers who motivate me.
